The special atmosphere at The Akademie für Politische Bildung (Scholarship - Education - Public Services) models Plato’s academy. It is an ideal location to enjoy undisturbed conferences and in-depth discussions far away from city life. Be our guest in one of the most beautiful places in Bavaria – at the foot of the German Alps and Munich still at your doorstep. The facilities are located in a quiet and idyllic park surrounded by an old tree population, with a stunning Mountain View and the academy’s own bathing platform down by the lake.
The academy
We rent out conference rooms for small as well as for large groups up to 90 guests, equipped with state-of-the-art services, including wi-fi connection. Furthermore we have a TV and computer room as well as a lounge area with the daily newspapers, vending machines for coffee, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Let the academy give you the possibility to escape the day-to-day hectic so you can fully concentrate on contents and in-depth discussions – you can also use our broad-based library with 45.000 volumes that focus on social science and humanities.
Lodging and Dining
The guesthouse offers 72 beds, divided into 48 single- and 12 double rooms. We have wi-fi connection in the guest rooms, the lobby and the auditorium. Hair-dryers can be loaned out at the reception for a refundable deposit. You may use our table tennis and soccer, exercise equipment, outdoor chess, e-piano and guitar for your recreation. Our friendly and experienced housekeeping and kitchen team will take care of your physical and nutritional wellbeing. We serve vegetarian dishes and can also prepare meals suited for your personal dietary requirements.
