Tutzing is located approximately 40 km southwest of Munich on Lake Starnberg.
Arriving by Car
From Munich: Take freeway A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Take the exit to Starnberg and continue on the federal highway (B2/ direction Weilheim) until you enter the town of Traubing, then take a left. At the end of the road turn right to Tutzing. The Akademie für Politische Bildung is on your left shortly after passing the town sign Tutzing.
Navigation device: Some GPS devices cannot find the address Buchensee 1. Please use Hauptstrasse 106, it’s directly across the street.
Arriving by Train in Munich
From the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof): Take the urban railway S-6 (46 min. trip, departs from the lower level) to Tutzing or the regional train (RB) towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Innsbruck/Murnau/Kochel/Seefeld (28 min. trip) till Tutzing. The train departs from track 27-36 (main level) every half hour.
From Pasing: If your train stops in Pasing you can reach Tutzing from there too. S-6 leaves from track 7. The Regional train (RB) leaves from track 4.

Arriving by Plane in Munich
From the airport: Take the urban railway S-1 or S-8 to Munich Central Station and follow the instructions above (90 min. trip).
How to Get to the Academy from Tutzing Train Station
You can either take a 20 to 30 minute walk, a taxi (7 min.) or the bus. Bus line 958 departs every hour at :05 and line 978 at :32, also on the weekends. Leave the bus at “Klenzestraße”. The Academy is situated right in front of you.
